A shopping list
a good attitude.
NOT necessarily eat what is advertised as healthy. Low fat, diet foods often ADD to your weight. Sugarless often means aspartame has been added, high on NO NO list. Vitamin enriched are virtually worthless, as the body can not absorb these unnatural substances. High fiber? Sawdust is high in fiber, but you would not want to eat it.
NOT eat white food. Or at least avoid them as much as possible. White foods contain refined flour, refined sugar, milk, pasta, potatoes and foods that are made from them. If a food is white, with very few exceptions, all the nutrition and life forces become bleached, processed and powdered out of them. Brown rice pasta is allowed and tasty. Do not eat “wheat” bread, all bread made with flour can be called wheat bread. If you must have bread, eat sprouted wheat bread.
NOT eat food with ingredients in them that you can not pronounce, recognize or understand. Do you drink a glass full of monosodium glutamate if you saw it sitting on the kitchen counter? What with hydrolyzed vegetable protein? What with triglyceride or nitrates? So do not accept it in food.
Eat things as close to their natural state as possible. Raw is best, minimally processed is acceptable. Lightly steamed or boiled barely better than well done. This list includes: fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. (Only eat fish once a week or so, unless you are sure of low mercury content). Eat pastures if you eat beef.
Eating organic whenever possible. Look at it this way, a few extra cents for organic food now can save hundreds of health care costs in the future. Milk and dairy products are also acceptable in its raw state. Pasteurization and homogenization kill all the nutrients in food.
Eat whole grains just like quinoa, sprouted wheat, brown rice.
Eat your main meal at noon, eat light in the evening. Large portions of meat is best eaten at midday. This gives your body plenty of time to complete and thoroughly digest it before bedtime
