You need:. .
By reading this article, you are already beginning to take the first step. The first step is to recognize that this is not easy and you need help and encouragement. You need guidance and someone to hold you accountable. These will be your allies in battle, because you will have a very tough time doing this all on your own. You do not need to get a personal trainer, but it is certainly a good idea if you can afford it. Otherwise, you should have a good friend, the relative or spouse help keep you accountable. Ideally, there are some who are not overweight (or only mildy overweight), someone who respects you and someone you respect. In my case, my wife met this role.
Train or re-train yourself. This is a war and every soldier starts with basic training. Fresh fruits, vegatables, whole grains and water are your weapons. Learn to love them. Eat Vegatables least twice a day and does not upload them with cheesy sauces or butter. Look at the new food pyramid, learn it. Drink plenty of water. If you’re a coffee drinker, learn to take black or with only a half teaspoon of sugar and an ounce of fat free milk. Try not to drink more than two cups a day at most, and one or less is better. Talk to your doctor about what is right for you.
Learn enemy. Sweets, milk chocolate, bacon, soda, cheese and butter. . . you fill in the blank. . . , These are your enemies. Of products with hi-fructose corn syrup can wreak havoc on your body. They can charge with energy for a short while, but they’re hard on your pancreas and tend to come with a bit of a crash. If you must have soda, start doing it only an occasional soda. Try to go a day with a soda. Get your allies to assist you. Replace soda with orange juice.
Create a strategic battle plan! Work with your allies to set reasonable weight loss goals. Some time is usually the way to go, because crash diets and extreme measures usually do not work, and in many cases are dangerous to your health. Talk to your doctor and possibly a dietitian about what is best for your body. If you could ever lose half a kilo a week, within 6 months you will have lost 25 pounds.
You should now be prepared to put these plans into action. It’s time to go to war, and this war will not be easy to win. You must stick to your game plan and not lose sight of your goals. Never forget the enemy! I will add resources in another day or two after the first publication of this article on healthy eating and exercise. So, come back soon. Remember, this is war, and you can win! Never stop and Never Surrender!
