Super Bowl parties are not exactly known for its healthy food choices. Chili. Nachos. Pizza. Chips. Beer. OK, I admit-have these things once in a while is not a big deal. But even if you serve standard food at your Super Bowl party you can at least offer healthy options too.
And serving is the easy part. What if you’re at a Super Bowl party and you are the guest? Here are some tips to make choices that do not have to invade healthy diet or waistline
Low calorie foods.
Eat a little something before you go. A cup of soup, a small salad and a smoothie can go a long way to prevent irresponsible munching.
Bring a healthy dish to the party as a fresh fruit plate, vegetables and dip or low-fat chips and dip. That way you can at least find something to eat that will not blow your healthy eating habit.
It’s OK to indulge. If you have healthy eating habits most of the time, to one day do not worry about what you eat is not to compromise your health. The problem is if you eat like that all the time.
If you choose to sample some of the goodies-you do not have to go out of control. If you balance the foods with healthy alternatives, you will not be completely sabotage a healthy diet.
