Purchase a home exercise machine.
Find a home exercise machine that best suits your needs and goals problem zones, and place it in front of television. Tell yourself that the only way you get to see your show is if you’re on that treadmill or elliptical. This way you’ll easily be able to get in 30 minutes of cardio a day.
Building a home exercise program.
Most strength training exercises can be done using the weight of your own body, and that’s it. Nothing special equipment or expensive gimmicks, just you and your body weight. Build an exercise routine filled with pushups, situps, lunges and so on, and make them in your own living room.
See a workout video.
A workout video that you can stand in the privacy of your own home and get in shape. Find a workout video that you can follow and commit to completing it at least 2 times a week. If you can, buy a pair, so you will be less likely to get bored.
Have your family with you.
Feel goofy trainer front of the television, while the rest of the family lounges? Have them with you. That way they will be getting heart healthy exercise, and you will not feel stupid! If there is not enough space, move it out for a game of some sort. You wont be watching television anymore, but it’s better that way anyway!
